Why Camp?
Don’t want to make the long (or short) trip home? Think camping on the Ohio River while attending RiverRoots Music and Folk Arts Festival is your cup of tea? Then we have the perfect solution. We have a limited number of camping sites available in Fireman’s Park in downtown Madison. The park is located at Jefferson and Vaughn Streets, it is well shaded and situated less than 2 blocks east of the venue. (Go to the INFO section for a city map.)
We are offering a scenic primitive camp site with access to port-a-johns, showers and a cell phone charging station. The area will be fenced off so that only campers may be in the campground.
The camp ground will be open from 12:00 pm on Friday, May 15th through 12:00 pm Sunday, May 17th.
Camping is $10 per person, 12 and under are free.

RV Camping
We have a limited amount of RV spots available. These spots are along Vaughn Drive with direct river view. RVs will be allowed to load in on Friday, May 15th ONLY, from 12:00 pm until 6:00 pm due to street closures. There will be no pulling out until ALL festival traffic has cleared the venue. All RV’s must be clear of the streets by 12:00 pm on Sunday, May 19th. There is nearby parking for pulling vehicles. There will only be 30 RV spots available so be sure to reserve yours well in advance!
The spaces are 50-100 dollars. The $100 spots will have 30amp service and are limited to 12. Please bring extra power cord as the plug-ins could be as far as 100 feet away from parking spot. This leaves 18 spots for non-electric. There will not be access to water or sewer so be sure to have an empty holding tank. Although there is a pump out station on the east end of Vaughn Drive at the city camp ground.
