Camping at the Festival
As in years past we will be offering a limited number of camp sites in Fireman's Park, which is just a couple short blocks from the festival venue. Cost is just $10 per person/per night. You can reserve campsites when you buy your Festival tickets.
Madison also has extensive year-round camping options:
Madison City Campground:This is actually on the river in the city, about a half-mile from the festival venue. Walking distance! Great sites, but there only 34 available. Book soon!
Clifty Falls State Park:The oldest park in the state of Indiana is only about 2 miles from the festival venue. Beautiful waterfalls and hiking. Extensive camping and RV sites available.
Lodging in Madison
Madison has a number of great lodging options, but as with any busy festival weekend, they do tend to fill up. If you want a hotel room or a guest suite at one of our many B&Bs, you should book early. Go to the Visit Madison website for a complete listing.
Pop-Up Tents at the Festival ($20 per day -- Pay at the gate)
You may bring your 10x10 pop-up (E-Z Up) to the festival and set up at the back of the venue behind the Balcony Row tents. It's a great way to have a little protection from the sun or rain showers, between bands or when you just want to take a break from the action. Keep in mind, viewing of the stage may be limited or completely blocked by the Balcony Row tents. It might be good to bring extra chairs to set up farther forward in the viewing area to watch the music.
HOW IT WORKS: No reservation or pre-ticket required, just bring your Pop-Up and pay at the gate each day. The Bicentennial Gate at the north end of the venue is best as it is close to the set up area. Please no closed camping style tents, just canopy-style shelters. If you are coming on Friday and Saturday, we ask that you take your Pop-Up down Friday night and take it with you as we can't be responsible for shelters left overnight. $20 per day.
