BACK FOR IT’S 2ND YEAR!
This year’s Kill the Hill be be held in conjunction with the Boy’s Club Mud Run event. Check back here later for complete details.
Flying Houndz will be on the Groundz!
The Flying Houndz Frizbee team will be back at the 2015 Festival. Check out their site here.
Watch the Painters
Once again this year the “plein air” painters will be out in force, capturing the event “live” as it happens on canvas. This has been a real crowd favorite, as you can watch talented local artists capturing in real-time the energy and excitement of the festival. Many of the paintings will also be “instantly” for sale as they are completed, making for an amazing one-of-a-kind souvenir from the event.
Eat Well!
In addition to some of the “fair food” that everyone loves, you’ll find a range of “great eats and cool treats” from some of the area’s favorite gourmet food trucks.
Check back here in the future as we finalize the list of food vendors for 2015
Drink Enjoyably!
Once again great beer takes center a stage (actually, just behind the main stage!) at this year’s event. In addition to your favorite ice-cold domestic offerings, you’ll find a selection of great craft beers from some of our best area brewers.
Scheduled to be on tap this year are:
- SunKing (Indy)
- Great Crescent (Aurora)
- Upland (Bloomington)
- New Albanian (New Albany, duh!)
- New this year, Powerhouse, out of Columbus, IN.
- And your favorite Budweiser products, of course!
Don’t miss the Craft Brewing Contest. Once again we will be staging a home brewing contest.
There will also be a Meet & Greet Saturday afternoon for home brewers who wish to learn more about the craft.
We also have wine! Two of our local wineries, Thomas Family Winery and Madison Vineyards Winery - Bed & Breakfast will be serving their great wines at the festival. All the wine is made locally, and they have a huge following in the region. Cheers!

Explore Madison
One of the features that makes RiverRoots special is the fact that it takes place in the heart of Madison, Indiana, on the banks of the Ohio River. The entire historic downtown is within easy walking distance of the venue. Madison is the largest contiguous National Historic Landmark in the United States—133 blocks filled with amazing antique homes, original carriage houses and parks.
